YouTube Link Builder — Clean, Timestamp, Embed & Short Links

Paste any YouTube link and get every format you need — clean, timestamped, embeddable, or tracked. Your link is processed in your browser and never uploaded or stored on our servers.

URL anatomy

Clean link

Every sharing and tracking parameter removed — the sender’s session id, click ids, referral tags. What’s left is the video id, and the timestamp or playlist if the original link had one.

Timestamp link

Set the exact point where the video should open.

Short link

YouTube’s own short format. It keeps the timestamp from the original link when there is one, and works the same on desktop and mobile.

Whether this opens the YouTube app or a browser tab depends on the visitor’s device and browser settings — not on the link itself.

Embed code

A ready-to-paste iframe for your own site, with the playback options you actually need.

Privacy-enhanced mode loads the player from youtube-nocookie.com. Stop-at pauses playback once — it doesn’t loop that segment on its own, since YouTube’s iframe player only restarts a whole video, not a clip inside it. If a video’s owner has disabled embedding, the player will show YouTube’s own notice instead of playing — that’s a setting on their video, not a fault in this code.

Thumbnail

Direct links to this video’s preview image. Sizes YouTube hasn’t generated for this particular video are skipped automatically.

UTM link

Add UTM parameters on top of the clean link so your own analytics — not YouTube’s — can see where clicks on this link came from.

Paste any YouTube link — a video, a Short, a live stream, a playlist, a channel, even a music.youtube.com link — and this tool reads it in your browser. Above the input, the link splits into labeled pieces: the video id, the timestamp if there is one, and every tracking parameter riding along with it. Your link is processed in your browser and never uploaded or stored on our servers.

A link copied from YouTube’s share button usually carries more than the video id. Paste youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ&t=127s&si=aB3xQ9kLmZ2p&feature=share and the clean tab drops exactly two parameters — si, the sharing session id, and feature, a leftover share-source tag — while keeping the video id and the 127-second timestamp untouched. The chip for each removed parameter explains in one line why it’s gone, so you’re not asked to trust a redacted URL blindly. Anything the tool doesn’t recognize either way gets its own chip too, rather than being lumped in as “tracking” when we’re not actually sure what it does.

The timestamp tab reads the time already in the link, if there is one, and lets you change it. Adjust hours, minutes and seconds and the tool builds a fresh watch-page link pointing at that exact moment — useful whether you’re correcting a timestamp or adding one that wasn’t there to begin with.

Next to it, the short link tab turns the same video id into the official youtu.be format, using whatever timestamp is set on the Timestamp tab. That’s as far as the promise goes — whether it opens in the YouTube app or a browser tab depends on the visitor’s phone and settings, not on anything this tool can control.

The embed tab builds a paste-ready iframe. Autoplay is generated muted, since browsers commonly block autoplay with sound regardless of what the embed code asks for. Loop repeats the whole video; the separate start/stop fields trim which part plays. Combining both won’t loop just that clip — YouTube’s iframe player only restarts a video from the beginning, not from a chosen start point, so “stop at” simply pauses playback once it gets there. Privacy-enhanced mode loads the player from youtube-nocookie.com instead. A live preview above the code box updates as you change an option. If a video’s owner has disabled embedding, the player will show YouTube’s own notice instead of playing — a setting on their video, not a fault in this code.

The thumbnail tab lists the available preview image sizes for that video, from maxresdefault down to mqdefault. Not every video has every size; ones that don’t load are skipped instead of showing a broken image.

The last tab adds UTM parameters — source, medium, campaign — on top of the clean link. These are for your own analytics, not YouTube’s: YouTube Studio doesn’t surface UTM tags on video traffic, so this only helps if the link is going somewhere you track yourself, or through a tool that reads UTM parameters on click.

None of these links depend on this site staying online. Every one of them points straight at youtube.com or youtu.be — there’s no redirect, no shortened domain, and nothing that can break if this tool disappears tomorrow.
